Waffles Breakfast

Serving size: 8 waffles


4 eggs
2 C sifted all purpose flour - sift before measuring
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 C buttermilk or 1 C sour cream + 1 C milk
3/4 C butter (~1.5 sticks)


Preheat waffle iron. Beat eggs until light. Sift together flower, salt, soda and baking powder. Add the flower mixture and buttermilk alternately to beaten eggs, beginning and ending with flower mixture. Add melted butter and blend thoroughly.

Pour batter into waffle iron.
